TitleLetter to Alexander Macdonald of Kepplestone from Noel Paton, 6 July 1884
DescriptionLetter to Alexander Macdonald of Kepplestone from Noel Paton, 33 George Street, Edinburgh, explaining that he is a bad correspondent and asking for forgiveness, pleasant memories of Macdonald's visit in 1879, he is delighted that Macdonald asked him to sit to George Reid for his collection, and that the result is 'very brilliant', 'he has produced a striking (or about to strike) likeness. But I had not realized until I saw it, what a strong and overbearing old party I must appear to the world in general!', thanks for invitation to him and Lady Paton, but they never leave home together as there is too large a flock there to leave unshepherded, he intends to visit Aberdeen in May to fix the site for the Wallace statue, and asks for accommodation for himself and one of his sons, if this is inconvenient perhaps he will be able to stay in the autumn, greetings to George Reid, 6 July 1884
