Franks of the British Museum, he was only a short time in Aberdeen and had then to go to Glasgow, thanking him for his hospitality, intending to visit Guernsey and his sisters, 'The sight of the Cemetery monuments your father supplied to my family will have a greater interest in my eyes now that I have seen the process of cutting and polishing the granite in your admirable works', 6 October 1884
