Description | Letter dated 14 October 1881 to Macdonald from J.S. Hodgson, 5 Hill Road, Abbey Road, N.W. London, apologising for delay in answering his letter, which was mislaid while Hodgson was abroad, something which also happened to a letter from John Forbes White, thanks for the photograph of a drawing which has not apparently been published, apologies for letter regarding drawing: 'it was written on the spur of the moment, & as I am an enthusiastic Gladstonite, I fear I put a lot of what J. Agnew calls toosy woosy into it', Calderon seems to have enjoyed his visit to Kepplestone, his own ignorance of Aberdeen, hopes of seeing Macdonald in London. |
