Administrative History | The school building in Craigievar Crescent was opened on 19 April 1949 as Kaimhill Primary School (for log book 1949 - 1952 see ED/GR6S/A40/1/1).
In 1952 the primary pupils and staff were transferred from it to a new building at Pitmedden Crescent (Inchgarth Primary School - see ED/GR6S/A40), whilst the infants remained in the Craigievar Crecent building, which was renamed Drumgarth Infant School, and run separately, though both schools had the same Head Teacher, who had been the head of Kaimhill Primary School, until he retired on 23 August 1965.
In 1978 the staff and pupils of Drumgarth Infant School were moved to Kaimhill Annexe, Pitmedden Crescent, because the old school needed renovation.
Later it was decided to amalgamate Drumgarth Infant School and Inchgarth Primary School, from 21 April 1981 as Kaimhill Primary School (ED/GR6S/A90), under one Head Teacher, Mrs Sheena H Allen, in the old Kaimhill Secondary premises.
