Administrative History | Torry Public School was opened by the Nigg School Board on the 2nd May 1878 with 500 places, in Abbey Road. The school was taken over by the Aberdeen School board in May 1894 to reflect the extended City Boundary. Alterations were carried out around 1899, and the building was extended further towards Victoria Road in 1905/1906 and renamed as Victoria Road Public School. Victoria Road School closed in 2007/8, with its pupils transferring to Tullos and Walker Road schools. |
