Administrative HistoryOriginally known as Savoch Parish School, later known as Braeside of Savoch.
The Parish School of Savoch was taken over by the School Board of Savoch in 1873. A new Braeside School was sanction on the 2 July 1878, and opened 2 March 1880. Lord Haddo took over the old building. In Jan 1885 Lady Haddo offered to supply soup (the first school dinners?) but offer was rejected. In June 1889 extension plans for the school were passed by the Board, and estimates for additions to the school were obtained in June 1905. There were additions to Schoolhouse and Store in Aug 1906.
The school closed in 2005 and its pupils transferred to New Deer and Auchnagatt.
