It is inscribed on the fly leaf "Charles Black, Turriff School July 3 1843" and was presented to the School by E.A. Murray of Hounslow, Middlesex in 1959 who wrote that it came from the library of his relative John Gauld, an Arts graduate of Aberdeen University who died at the age of 26 in 1904. |
