Bervie School was originally located in School Lane. In August 1919 the Bervie headmaster took over supervision of the Broadyards Infant School (see ED/KC5/113), which was then administered as the infant section of Bervie School. The School Lane site closed in 1937, and the secondary pupils moved to a site in Church Street in 1937 which was categorised as a Junior Secondary School taking in older pupils from primaries at Bervie, Gourdon, Kinneff, Arbuthnott and Benholm. Primary pupils remained on the school's Broadyards site. The secondary department closed in 1969, and pupils were transferred to Mackie Academy. |
