DescriptionWaste Book "containing the first cost of the ground right, building, furnishings and fitting of the Poor's Hospital or Work House of Aberdeen, until opened for receiving the Poor upon the 31st day of October 1741" and "also thw whole charge of the mainteance and cloathing of the Poor, the Manufactureres made by them, and all other articles concerning the same" from 31st October to the end of November 1742: this section covers aroung 60 pages of the volume
There is then a three page explanation of the conduct of James Man, master of the Poor's Hospital, in respects to a "fray" between the boys of the Poor's Hospital and Gordon's Hospital on the 17th October 1754.
The rest of the volume is taken up wiht the Director's minutes from the 19th September 1754 to the 5th February 1772.
