Description | Includes all officers in force in 1888, the longest-serving of whom was appointed on 3 June 1853, and those appointed between 1888 and 1930. The register also includes the six officers serving in Elgin Burgh who transferred to Elginshire in 1893 (the longest serving of whom was appointed in 1891), the officers serving in Nairnshire Constabulary who transferred to Moray & Nairn Constabulary in 1930 (the longest serving of whom was appointed in 1899) and all those appointed to Moray & Nairn Constabulary between 1930 and 1948. For each officer, gives name, date and place of birth, physical description, place of residence, occupation, religion, marital status, date of appointment, transfers, promotions, awards, discipline and date and details of termination. The register continued to be updated by Scottish North East Counties Constabulary until circa 1953, at which point personnel records were transferred to record sheets in a Scottish North East Counties Constabulary personnel register.
