| Description | Contains personnel records for all officers who served in Scottish North East Counties Constabulary and had left the Force by October 1963. This includes officers who had transferred to Scottish North East Counties Constabulary from Aberdeenshire Constabulary, Banffshire Constabulary and Moray & Nairn Constabulary in May 1949 and those who had been appointed to Scottish North East Counties Constabulary since May 1949. For officers appointed prior to 1949, in most cases the record sheets were made up retrospectively, and include details of service in the predecessor forces. Annotations to records made sporadically between 1963 and 1986.
For each officer, the record gives name, date of birth, physical description, place of origin, occupation, names and addresses of parents, spouse and children, date of appointment, number, transfers, promotions, awards, discipline, sickness and date and details of termination.
Officers who had transferred to Scottish North East Counties Constabulary from Moray & Nairn Constabulary in 1949 and who had left SNECC by circa 1953 are not included in this volume: instead their Moray & Nairn Constabulary personnel register was updated by SNECC. |
