| Description | Contains personnel records for all officers who were appointed to Scottish North East Counties Constabulary by October 1963, and who were still serving in October 1963. This includes officers who had transferred to Scottish North East Counties Constabulary from Aberdeenshire Constabulary, Banffshire Constabulary and Moray & Nairn Constabulary in May 1949 and those who had been appointed to Scottish North East Counties Constabulary since May 1949. For officers appointed prior to 1949, in most cases the record sheets were made up retrospectively by SNECC, and include details of service in the predecessor forces.
For each officer, the record gives name, date of birth, physical description, place of origin, occupation, names and addresses of parents, spouse and children, date of appointment, number, transfers, promotions, awards, discipline, sickness and date and details of termination.
The register appears to have ceased to be updated in October 1963. Personnel cards used thereafter have not survived. |
