Administrative HistorySet up in Oct 1912 by Peter Sutherland, Fish Curer, of Portsoy, who settled the sum of £1,000 for the use and benefit of the inhabitants of Portsoy. The principal purpose of the Trust required the free annual income to be paid to the Treasurer of the Burgh of Portsoy to meet the rent of the public park, known as the Sutherland Park, Portsoy or such other park as might be provided. The Trustees were also entitled to make expenditure from the income of the Trust Funds in improving the park or indeed for any public object in connection with the Burgh of Portsoy. The Banff and Buchan Area Committee were discussing the winding down of the trust in 2001/2.
