Administrative HistoryThe Aberdeen Badminton Club was formed in 1900, founded by Miss Nora McDonald (later Mrs Professor Griffiths). There were initially around 50 members, mainly women. It was in abeyance during the First World War, and restarted in October 1919.

The 1st Aberdeenshire Royal Engineer (Volunteers) Badminton Club was formed in 1902, with a membership of officers on the active list of 1st Aberdeenshire Royal Engineer (Volunteers) and their households and invitees. The Club was disolved in 1907.

The Aberdeen Engineers Badminton Club was established in 1907, and formed of members of the 1st Aberdeenshire Royal Engineer (Volunteers) Badminton Club. They met at Engineers Hall on the Hardgate. The Club closed at the start of the First World War.
