Administrative History | The Royal Army Service Corps Regimental Association was formed in 1927 when RASC clubs and funds were amalgamated. Many new branches were formed after the Second World War by ex-servicemen wanting to retain a connection with their comrades. The Aberdeen Association appears to have been formed c. June 1945. As well as organising social events, the Aberdeen Branch appears to have operated a benevolent fund too. In 1965 the Association was renamed the Royal Army Service Corps & Royal Corps of Transport Association, and the Aberdeen Branch seems to have continued to operate into the 1990s. |
