| Administrative History | This collection contains a selection of records relating to the Post Office Engineering Union and was deposited in the City Archives in 1993 with a later deposit in June 1996 (POEU/10-11). The material consists mainly of minutes from the various branches and committees and dates from 1928 - 1993. Earlier material relating to the Union of Post Office Workers and dating from 1894 - 1941, is held at the Special Collections and Archives Department of Aberdeen University. The Post Office Engineering Union merged with the CPSA in 1985 to form the National Communications Union and in 1995, this National Communications Union merged with the Union of Communications workers to form the currently operating Communication Workers Union.
