| Description | Includes all officers in force in April 1885 (the longest-serving of whom was appointed in 1843), and those appointed between April 1885 (the longest-serving of whom was appointed in 1863) and 16 September 1921. For each officer, gives name, date of birth, physical description, place of origin, occupation, date of appointment, number, transfers, promotions, awards, discipline and date left Force.
In later dated entries, there are references to indicate whether an entry relating to the officer exists in the later Personnel Register POL/A/5/3.
