Aberdeen Harbour Board: Application from Alexander Cumming, 5 Commerce Street, Aberdeen, for post of Head Meter Letter to Mr. Riddel: "Gent, having seen an advertisement in the public prints for a person to fill the office of Head Meter upon the quay I hereby make offer of myself for the above situation; at the cametim[?] will hand to Mr. Riddel the certificates which I hold from the different individuals in whose employment I have been into trusting the will prove satisfactory to you as my former Caricture and if elected to the above situation I shall endeavour to give every satisfaction in my power.
