Aberdeen Harbour Board: Letter from David Copland, Aberdeen Letter to James Riddel: "Dear Sir, I named to you lately that I might require for a short period the use of a small piece of ground about the old lime basin, I would now require it to lay down from 50-60 loads of oak timber which I could remove at any time if the ground was otherwise required, please say if (?) as I will require to clear the crane today, the rent I shall leave to yourself, it could be laid beside the beech timber laid down the other day, remaining dear Sir, your truly, David Copland." 18th August 1840
