Pontoon Dock No. 2 was constructed for the Harbour Commissioners by Messrs Vickers, Sons and Maxim in Barrow in Furness, arriving in Aberdeen in April 1908. It has a distinctive motor house, with valve house above, on its Upper Deck.</dc:description>
