Fraserburgh Chamberlain's Department: Lifeboat Disaster Fund Records This series consists of correspondence and administrative documents relating to the administration of the Fraserburgh Lifeboat Disaster Fund, founded in the aftermath of the 1953 Fraserburgh Lifeboat Disaster and including material relating to the 1970 Fraserburgh Lifeboat Disaster. Of the three lifeboat disasters that took place in waters near to Fraserburgh, 14 crew lost their lives. A memorial to the Fraserburgh Lifeboat Crews was unveiled in Fraserburgh in 2010. 1953 - 1971
