Aberdeenshire Council: Agenda and Papers - Special Meeting B U S I N E S S 1 Sederunt and Declaration of Members' Interests 2 Public Sector Equality Duty Consider, and if so desired, adopt the following resolution:- (1) to have due regard to the need to:- (a) eliminate discrimination, harassment and victimisation; (b) advance equality of opportunity between those who share a protected characteristic and persons who do not share it; and (c) foster good relations between those who share a protected characteristic and persons who do not share it. (2) where an Integrated Impact Assessment is provided, to consider its contents and take those into account when reaching a decision. 3 The undernoted members of Aberdeenshire Council, in compliance with Standing Order 2.2.1, submitted a requisition dated 28 May 2025. The meeting shall consider the following business: • The earliest consideration of the referral under Standing Order 5.5 by Education & Children’s Services Committee of Item 7A of their meeting on Thursday 22nd May 2025 to note the decision of the Director of Education and Children's Services to mothball/deactivate Ballogie, Crossroads, Glass and Sandhaven Early Learning and Childcare Settings from August 2025; and • Thereby, reconsideration of the Guidance on Mothballing and de-activation of Early Learning and Childcare Settings in Aberdeenshire to remove the delegated powers of the Director of ECS, create a consultation process and revisit budget decisions taken in February 2025. 09 Jun 2025
