The Council elected the following thirteen Burgesses to be members of the new  Council for the year 1806 to 1807: Provost William Young, Provost George More,  Provost James Hadden, Baillie Thomas McCombie, Baillie George Tower, Alexander  Fraser, John Donald junior, Robert Tower, Alexander Gibbon junior, Alexander  Duthie junior, Robert Jamieson, Gavin Hadden and George Hogarth junior, all  merchants in Aberdeen. The Council elected the following four members of the old Council to be members  of the new Council: Provost Alexander Brebner, Baillie William Shepherd, Baillie  Robert Garden and Provost Thomas Leys. (249v)

The Council elected Convener Alexander Thomson, cooper, and Deacon Nathaniel  Gillet, goldsmith, to be Trades councillors. (249v)

The Council (and John Allan, Patrick Barron and William Paterson, Burgesses of  Guild, as Assistants) elected the following office bearers for the year 1806 to  1807:
Alexander Brebner - Provost
Baillie William Shepherd - Eldest Baillie
Baillie Robert Garden - Second Baillie
Baillie Thomas McCombie - Third Baillie
Baillie George Tower - Fourth or Youngest Baillie
Alexander Fraser - Dean of Guild
John Donald junior - Treasurer
Robert Tower - Shoremaster
Alexander Gibbon junior - Master of Kirk and Bridge Works
Alexander Duthie - Master of Mortifications
Robert Jameson - Master of Guild Brethren's Hospital

The Council elected Provost Alexander Brebner, Baillie Robert Garden and Baillie  Thomas McCombie to be Keepers of the Keys of the Town's Charter Chest for the  year 1806 to 1807. (250v)

The Council elected the Provost, the four Baillies, the Dean of Guild, Provost  Young, Provost More, Provost Leys and Provost Hadden as Commissioners of  Infeftments for the year 1806 to 1807; and the two Trades councillors as  Auditors of the Town's Accounts. (250r)</dc:description>
