Aberdeen Council Register: volume 68 - extract dated 24 September 1806 Annual election, 24 September 1806 [Sederunt given] The Council elected the following thirteen Burgesses to be members of the new Council for the year 1806 to 1807: Provost William Young, Provost George More, Provost James Hadden, Baillie Thomas McCombie, Baillie George Tower, Alexander Fraser, John Donald junior, Robert Tower, Alexander Gibbon junior, Alexander Duthie junior, Robert Jamieson, Gavin Hadden and George Hogarth junior, all merchants in Aberdeen. (249r - 249v) The Council elected the following four members of the old Council to be members of the new Council: Provost Alexander Brebner, Baillie William Shepherd, Baillie Robert Garden and Provost Thomas Leys. (249v) The Council elected Convener Alexander Thomson, cooper, and Deacon Nathaniel Gillet, goldsmith, to be Trades councillors.
