The Council set 28 May 1810 for the annual Perambulation of the Inner Marches  and the Visitation of the Bridge of Dee and Bridge of Don. (145v)

The Council remitted to Baillies Shepherd and Tower, the Dean of Guild, Mr John  Young and Mr John Forbes, the consideration of the correspondence between the  Provost and Mr Gordon, the solicitor in charge of the Harbour Bill, detailing  evidence given by John Rae, merchant, and others before a House of Commons  committee concerning the letting of the present lease of the Shore and Harbour  Dues and to report to a future meeting. (145v - 146r)

Baillie Shepherd laid before the Council a letter from Mr Alexander Gordon,  solicitor in London, to Mr Carnegie, Town Clerk, anouncing that the Harbour  Improvements Bill had passed both Houses and would receive royal assent in a few  days. On the motion of Baillie Shepherd a vote of thanks was accorded Provost  Hadden for his zealous and indefatigable conduct in forwarding the Harbour Bill  in both Aberdeen and London.
