The Council appointed Hugh Lumsden Esq of Pitcaple, advocate, Ruling Elder, to  be their Commissioner to the next General Assembly of the Church of Scotland, to  be held in Edinburgh on 20 May 1819, being satisfied of his qualifications for  the commission. (197r)

The Council agreed that the stair leading from the old street called the Dubby  Row to the churchyard could be removed, and the entry closed if necessary, to  allow the Trustees of the Treasury creditors to sell feus of the building areas  on the west side of St Nicholas Street.
