Incoming Letter Book Volume 15: Letter of Objection to Alex Carnegie, Town Clerk, regarding building of new streets in Aberdeen (1800) Letter objecting to streets being built: one from the south west part of the town, and the other from the north, which will both enter the Castlestreet, intimating the beliefs of the subscribers that this is 'illegal and dangerous', as it is a precendent to force individuals to sell or give up ground wanted on either side of the street. In particular, they believe that the plan of Valuation proposed by the bill is 'not safe or proper'. 15 February 1800
