Aberdeen City Police: Personnel record cards for police officers For each officer, the card gives the rank, name, home address, date and place of birth, visible distinguishing marks, signature and a black-and-white head-and-shoulders photograph of the officer and his national registration number. The cards are ordered by reference number: officers ranked Inspector and above have a sequential 'A' reference number by rank; Sergeants and Constables have a sequential number that corresponded to their collar number. c. 1940
