Description | Letter to James Riddel from James Grant: "Dear Sir, I am instructed by the Representatives of the last Thomas Bell, comedian in Edinburgh, to intimate to you as Treasurer of Aberdeen Harbour Trustees, that, at the 20th June ensuing they will require payment of the price of the house in Footdee fronting the Pocra Road, which belonged to Mr. Bell, and now to the Harbour Trustees in the virtue of the verdict of a jury impanelled in terms of the Harbour Act, on the 11th June 1811. The price awarded being £425, with deduction of a feu duty of £2,,14/ deemable at 20 years purchase leaving the net sum of £371, with a year's interest, to be paid at the above term.
