Order signed by John Gordon of Craig to pay seven shillings to Ann Peters, prisoner in the Tolbooth for child murder, to William Gray, Keeper of the Tolbooth, for her subsistence - written at Aberdeen 20th June 1777 in presence of John Gordon of Craig, Alexander Innes of Breda, and Arthur Dingwall Fordyce of Culsh, freeholders of the County of Aberdeen - Ann Peters was supposed to be banished but had been kept in the Tolbooth as there had been no opportunity to transport her - she is now in a bad state of health and has no other support than the three half pennies a day from the Rogue Money of the County - so seven shillings was ordained to be paid to William Gray, Keeper of the Tolbooth, over and above her ordinary allowance - signed by John Gordon, Arthur Dingwall Fordyce, and Alexander Innes - the reverse of the order has a receipt for the £0.7.6 signed by William Gray, received from John Durno, dated 20 June 1777
