DescriptionWidow of Robert Christie, Stocking Manufacturer in Aberdeen who "having married young was not able to make himself Burgess"' now appealing for financial assistance from the council. She and her sister and nephew,the latter two are cripples, are the ony living descendants of George Davidson, who mortified Lands at Pettans and Bogfairly to the town thus financially benefitting the council rather than his family, which the petitioner wants them to take into account when considering her case. Note on document from Magistrates reads: "£1.10s on George Davidson's Mortification."
