| Administrative History | The New Statistical Account for the parish of Udny, written in 1840, indicates that Udny was erected as a parish in 1597, from parts of the parishes of Ellon, Tarves, Logie Buchann and Foveran. The lands taken from Ellon and Logie Buchan parishes still paid small sums out of teinds to the ministers of Ellon and Logie Buchan. |
