DescriptionLetter addressed to James Riddel: "Dear Sir, the sheriff has pronounced an interlocutor in the action raised against the instance of the individual members of the Footdee Society against Alexander Paterson, Whitefisher, Footdee to have the arrestment used in your hands against them restricted to the amount due to the society as a body of which interlocutor you have easy annoyed. You are therefore now at perfect liberty to pay up to the individual members whatever sums lie on your hands belonging to them as private individuals. The only sum secured under my arrestment being the one hundred fifty nine pounds due to the society as a body and (?) interest thereof. Yours, David Reith."
