Description | Letter to James Riddel: "Sir, please have the goodness to ship the three mats of sails which you will along herewith receive of the first vessel for Sunderland taking a receipt for the same and to advise me on shipment what vessel you have sent them with. Your attention to the above will particularly oblige. Your most obedient servant, Alexander Carny. S.B, please forward the enclosed letter along with the sails. Also pay the carrier for the carriage and charge the shore dues and the captain of the vessel will pay you the same and when he delivers the sails will be repaid at Sunderland."
