DescriptionPetition from John Nisbet, letter head: "Torry, 23rd December 1830." Letter reads as follows: "To the right onerabel Lord Provest and Magestraits on the City of Aberdeen your humbel petitioner John Nisbet tat overseer in the raick fishing desire that you ould tack it in to your consideration consarning the brak water shot that I mad out of mine own head when maney one thought lick wis said that she ould be nothing but I pavserved and got her dune and know that the tow of Aberdeen ould have been damiged some hundreds yearly and I ame out of the raick fishing now and not very abel to work being trobled with ansemey at times I petitioned 5 or 6 years a go and it was considered that some other mate do the same but I know that thar is no other parson that understand it nor nor culd mack a net for her. John Nisbet."
