TitleAberdeen Harbour Board: Letter from James Mearns, Aberdeen
DescriptionLetter to Harbour Trustees from James Mearns: "Gentlemen, I received an order from the Shore Dues Office on Saturday afternoon to remove the Cumber from the upper shade, I have no other way of doing so but by employing carts, and taking the things to the yard in Church Street. The last things I put there was only a few days until the most of them was gone, so that it is no place of safety. The Weigh House cannot, nor will receive large cases, some of the things is useless and will not bear any expenses, others would if I could keep them safe until claimed. I beg you will give me some instructions regarding this case. I am Gentlemen, your most obedient servant, James Mearns."
