Cover letter to letter from Mr Christie owing to a complaint regarding Minnie Davidson, a pupil at the school, who received corporal punishment with a strap on her hand from Mr Christie. The girls’ mother was giving strong accusations and arguments to the teacher, and even the child tried to moderate her mother. According to the teacher, the girl’s hand and overall health was as it should be, and if a similar incident occurred a different child, he would do the same punishment. Issues regarding the treatment of Duncan McIsaac, owing to the fact that she only attended 37 times out of a possible 62 so far. The teacher admits having struck the side of his head when he came in with untidy books, and apologies for the incident, and says it knows nothing about where his mount was swelling up as he could not tell. Letter regarding Bella Barclay- the daughter of the Headmaster at Cove who applied for admission to the 4rth year P.T.
