- G C Dawson, 64 Bon Accord Street, Aberdeen: letter making a case for a fixed salary as teacher with responsibility for supervising the music dept at the High school [See Minute Book. 8th February 1894, p.731 (4)
- Duncan Clarke, Skene Sq. Pub. School: letter requesting an up-to-date copy [i.e. 1894] of the enclosed leaflet advertising for candidates to take a City and Guilds of London Institute exam in dress-making. Enclosure is for May 1893. Candidates must be able to prove they have received at least 20 lessons in a school or class certified by, and under a Teacher approved by, the Institute.
- Miss L Christie, 19 Hamilton Place, Aberdeen: letter offering herself as Lady teacher of Voice Production and Solo Singing in the Girls’ High School. Encloses 2 newspaper reviews of concerts where she has performed together with a card advertising her lessons and terms
- Jas Campbell, Frederick Street Public School: regarding Mr W B Clark, Monitor, and apprenticeship following remarks made by an Inspector at a recent Inspection regarding his age and length of apprenticeship. [See Minute Book, 12th January 1894, p. 733 ‘Reports by H.M. Inspector – Frederick Street Public School]
- Jas Campbell, Frederick Street Public School: Letter regarding Mr W B Clark [see previous entry] and entry for examination
- Jas Campbell, Frederick Street Public School: regarding a complaint made by a parent against a teacher, Miss Fraser. He asks if the complaint can be left in his hands to deal with rather than put formally to the Board

- Duncan Clarke, Skene Sq. Ev. School: letter objecting to a decision which affects the teaching of music
- John Clarke, Old Aberdeen [The Clerk, County Education Committee, 7 Old Chanonry, Old Aberdeen]: letter regarding marks of candidate Pupil Teachers and names of those who have excelled. Points out that some candidates who ‘fail’ have higher aggregate marks than some of those who ‘pass’ due to an anomaly in the marking system
- J Beaumont, Commerce Street Public School, 21st Feb 1894: regarding the truancy of a pupil, Mathieson, who was transferred to another school away from the ‘evil influences that beset him in town’
- Jas C Barnett, Middle Public School, 23rd Feb 1894: regarding Walter Mathieson, pupil, presented for admission following truancy but unable to do standard of work expected. Boy advised to go back to old school and not seen since at Middle School. [See J Beaumont’s letter above, 21st Feb 1884]
- J D Anderson, Ferryhill Public School, 7th Dec 1893: re. Littlejohn and an inquiry being made about him [ Board Meeting Minutes, 8th March 1894, p 752 2(b) and p. 755 No. 788 – same Littlejohn?]
- J D Anderson, Ferryhill Public School, 13th Dec 1893: re. Littlejohn who may be ‘stripped of the habiliments’ [See J D Anderson’s letter above, 7th Dec 1893]
- James Findlay, St Clement Street Public School: his thoughts on reading books devoted exclusively to Temperance and reading in general
- James Findlay, St Clement Street Public School: letter regarding a child with dirty hands
- Alexander Forbes, Marywell Street Public School: regarding the truancy of one boy, Martin, in particular; the earlier removal of pupils from Nigg; a resultant ‘false and libellous’ charge by Mr McLennan against Mr Forbes

- John Gordon, Girls’ High School: letter arguing his case for inclusion in the distribution of Grants following an increase in salary.
- Thos C Hynd, King Street Public School: regarding the movement of staff and recommending one apprenticeship for a pupil teacher, Miss Chalmers, be extended for a year
- Thos C Hynd, King Street School: referring to the H M Inspector’s report on the school for 1893 and arguing against his recommendations.
- Thos C Hynd, King Street Public School: recommending two pupils be employed as Monitors, Helen A Pirie and Maggie Simpson
- Thos C Hynd, King Street Public School, 8 Feb 1894: letter about the impact of a ‘threatened Epidemic’ on class numbers with a ‘Table of Absentees owing to infectious diseases in family’ – Measles, Scarlet Fever and Whooping Cough.
- Thos C Hynd: on bottom of a letter asking for recommendations of girl pupils for free schooling at the Grammar School, Mr Hynd has written a reply stating that girls previously granted places returned to King Street School due to class distinctions and extra charges.

- Nellie G Mackay, 16 Portland St, Aberdeen: requesting transfer from St Andrews St School to any other school; she includes excerpts from her Parchment Certificate [See p. 753 Board Meeting, 8th March 1894, item (h)
- John McBain, Girls’ High School: Asking Board to deal favourably with a request for leave of absence teacher from Mr Hyslop; struggling to cover his duties.
- John McBain, Girls’ High School: requests that their gardener be included in the Board’s ‘liveried people’ and be given a topcoat and suit [See p. 691 Board Meeting, 14th December 1893, item (7)]
- Memo from Clerk & Treasurer to John McBain, Girls’ High School with reply: Father contends his daughter, Annie McLaren, was not at school during one quarter, but class register records otherwise
- John McBain, Girls’ High School: requests that the Board support the school library which was formed after pupils and teachers raised £220 [see p. 731 Board Meeting 8th February 1894, item (8)

- Letter from Annie Pearson, 58 Ashley Road, Aberdeen: making a case for employment following bouts of ‘Inflammation of the Lung’ and her recent teaching positions.
- Jas Rose, Causewayend Public School, Decr 13th, 1893: recommending altering school attendance due to concern over dismissal of the children ‘into the crowded Gallowgate in these dark afternoons’.
- H F Morland Simpson, Aberdeen Grammar School: names of scholars holding other bursaries. He queries why the Educational Trust bursars who won bursaries to the Grammar School did not go straight there and airs his suspicions.
- H F Morland Simpson, 80 Hamilton Place, Aberdeen: the Anderson Scholarship has been awarded to Thomas Stewart Slessor without examination as he was the only candidate.
- H F Morland Simpson, Aberdeen Grammar School: regarding the request by A MacLeod regarding exemption from fees for his son [see entries Alfred MacLeod above]
- H F Morland Simpson, Hamilton Place, 7 Feb 1894: letter regarding a mistake in a published notice of bursary winners to attend the Grammar School, which was compounded by mistakes by the Town Council and the Master of Ashley Road School that led to a boy, Souter, erroneously believing he had won; postscript about fees for another boy, Lothian, whose mother has withdrawn him to attend Ashley Road School with his younger sister.
- H F Morland Simpson, Hamilton Place, Aberdeen,30 Jan 1894: regarding Herr Hein’s request for an increase of salary [see Gustav Hein above]; withdrawal of Geo. Gallow, Free Scholar, having secured a ‘desirable opening’ in the Post Office; a free place for John Wright, Skene St School, following a visit from Mr J B Thomson of the Journal; issues with their grounds.
- H F Morland Simpson, Grammar School: letter regarding trespassers on their grounds who confuse the Grammar Scholl with Elementary Public Schools; Grammar School boys should have equal advantages with Gordon College boys,
- H F Morland Simpson, Grammar School: regarding friction that may be caused by a ‘proposed rule as to our gate’ so he intends writing to the papers on the subject; requests “please keep to the paths” signs.
- H F Morland Simpson, Hamilton Place, 12 Feb 1894; raises again various issues from earlier letters viz. the subject of fees for teachers’ sons [p. 756 Board Meeting, 8th March 1894, item (5); support for the school library; the boy, Wright, in connection with a Free scholarship. [See above]
