Description | Apprenticeship agreement whereby James Ferrier, Barber and Wigmaker in Aberdeen, commits to providing an apprenticeship for six years to Wm Munro jr. Conditions for the boy include that he behaves in a proper, morally upright way, to promote Ferriers interests at all times and to be available for work and training at all times unless given leave to be absent. WM. Munro senior is required as a condition of the agreement to ensure his son "clothes and washes in a decent manner" at his expense. Ferrier is obligated to provide instruction in the trade "in so far as he himself knows as his apprentice is capable to conceive" and to provide board and lodging, with associated penalty of £10 for any party breaking the terms of indenture.
