Description | Petition of Francis Peacock, Dancing Master in Aberdeen, and of the Directors of the Musical Society of Aberdeen, that the dancing school be moved from its present rooms in the gallery above the old meal market and in Pitfodels' Halls and that the present Concert Hall currently in use by the Directors of the Musical Society is both inconvenient and too confined for its declared purpose. Both parties request that a concert hall and dancing school be erected as one commodious structure in a new street currently being opened up from the middle of the Broadgate (Broad Street) to the better use and convenience both of the dancing school and the Musical Society. |
