Administrative HistoryThe East Free Church School was run by the East Free Church until its transfer to Aberdeen School Board in October 1874. The school was then re-named St Andrew Street School. The pupils and staff moved to the Skene Street School buildings in February 1887, when the Skene Street pupils and teachers transferred to the newly-completed Rosemount School. Thereafter St Andrew Street School became an infant school until January 1888, when the school re-opened for half time pupils attending other schools of the Board. The half-time classes and their teachers were transferred to accommodation in the Middle School in December 1894 and the school closed. The school buildings were sold off in 1895.
