Administrative History | Marywell Street School was administered by the Deacons Court of the Bon Accord Free Church before being taken over by Aberdeen School Board in October 1873. From February 1909 the school catered only for Infant and Standard I classes, as the need for playground and gymnasium facilities and rooms for cookery and manual instruction could not be met on the site. Older pupils were transferred to the newly-re-opened Holburn Street School. The school closed on 30 June 1922. |
