Administrative History | Initially known as Aberdeen Wednesday Junior Football Association, made up of junior clubs in Aberdeenshire, Kincardineshire and the Northern Counties. From a 1934/35 list of clubs the clubs appear to be work place clubs: Gordons; LNER; Scotia Thistle; Pharmacy; Shop Assistants; Bankhead Rovers; Shoemakers; Excelsior; Police; and the Post Office.
The Junior Football Association had turned into AWWFA by 1952. Games were suspended during the Second World War, resuming in October 1947. |
